Effects of Black Propaganda – The First Step In Resolving Online Attacks

A smear campaign or defamation campaign against oneself or ones own company can be quite stressful and damaging. Not only in the form of monetary losses but in one’s own built reputation. It can destroy lives, careers and businesses.

We see it everyday in the Media. Public figures, celebrities and successful companies tend to get attacked and Black PR’ed. This spreads like a virus on the internet and has no boundaries. It is hard to shake off. When newspapers were the only form of informative sources it was only a matter of time before the news would become old and a new scandal would come in and everyone would forget about the drama from the week before. Today, everything gets stored online and someone’s mistake, no matter how resourceful in redeeming themselves, can linger around for years.

Mistakes are made; what was once a brief oversight becomes the sorrow of a lifetime once it made known online. This is unjust and does not handle easily even with regular promotion and good SEO.

What to do to Resolve Online Attacks?

Aggressive SEO is the answer. It is aggressive because of its effectiveness. The first rule if in the midst of a Black PR campaign is to counter attack immediately. Black PR can cause a “back-off”, or a reluctance to act and feeling to withdraw or keep “low key”. The exact opposite is the essential first action in any negative (black) propaganda situation. One must communicate stronger and louder and promote oneself while handling the source of the Black PR.
